Immunizations & Parent Resources

California Immunization Law 

As a California public charter school, we must comply with California immunization law.  The law requires that the parent/guardian provide proof of their student's required immunizations prior to starting school.

 

A child who is out of compliance with California immunization law will not be allowed to start school nor we will hold an enrollment spot open for any child who is out of compliance.

 

Personal or religious waivers dated prior to January 1, 2016 for students entering TK, Kindergarten or 7th grade are no longer valid.  All students previously on a waiver should see their physician to start immunizations as time periods exist between doses.  Personal or religious waivers dated prior to January 1, 2016 for students in other grades will remain in effect until the student enters TK, Kindergarten or 7th grade.

 

Children who are current with their immunizations (not yet due for their next dose) will be admitted conditionally, but will need to provide an updated immunization record when a missing immunization has been administered.  Don't delay making a doctor's appointment; a student without any immunizations must show proof of the first shot in each series to start school.

 

Failure to comply with California law may result in the child being dis-enrolled from school.
